This year’s General Membership Meeting will be held online on Zoom. In addition to the panel discussion, Steering Committee Members will also report on the activities of AEF, including Scholarships, Grants, and Birds of a Feather sessions.
The panel topic (so close to Halloween) is “Teaching in the Dark,” hosted by AEF Chair and USC Professor, Tom Sito.
Is the popularity of dystopian, apocalyptic fiction and fantasy a reflection of a general pessimistic attitude of young people today? Or is it just cool? And how do we approach this in our teaching?
